Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the massive amounts of traffic tips that promises to teach you how to increase blog traffic overnight ?
Well, I’m here to tell you this upfront:
It doesn’t work
Increasing blog traffic is a strategic and continuous process. It’s not a one and done task.
Increase Blog Traffic Tip#1:Create Evergreen Content
Evergreen content is the type of content that keeps relevant and fresh years after it was published. This content is the backbone of any successful blog on the internet. If you’re just starting out your blogging journey, this is exactly what you need to do to get the best return on your time and energy investments.
Increase Blog Traffic Tip#2:Write Extremely Detailed Tutorials
Whenever you’re teaching something to your audience, make sure that you explain it in a highly detailed way. An example of a detailed post I’ve written earlier is where I shared how to start a blog step by step. In this post I explained exactly why you would want to start a blog and then started showing how to do it in a step by step beginner friendly way.

Increase Blog Traffic Tip#3:Come Up With Lists With Specific Point
Writing list posts is a great way to drive traffic to your blog. To make sure you target the right kind of traffic to your blog – aka: targeted traffic- you need to get specific with your list before creating it.
What am I trying to teach my reader with this list?
What kind of result my reader will get if they applied what’s in my list?
For example, this exact post is a list post itself. The purpose of creating this post is to share with you 10 handpicked tips to increase your blog traffic. Instead of creating a massive list of 100+ tips that could overwhelm the reader, I choose to share only a few handpicked ones that I have tested myself.
Another example of how simple a list post can be is how Darren Rowse wrote over at ProBlogger:
Increase Blog Traffic Tip#4:Make Targeted Guides
Similar to lists with specific point or desired result, guides are a more detailed version of lists. They usually talk about a broader topic from different angles. Guides are also structured in a step by step style to keep the reader engaged.
Increase Blog Traffic Tip#5:Show The Way, Don’t Just Tell
Telling your readers something and showing them how to do it are two completely different stories.
It’s OK to tell them what they need to do based on your experience, but it’s far better to show them how to do it. You can do that either by sharing the steps or by giving a live example. As an example of sharing the steps you can have a look at my step by step process of finding your niche.

Increase Blog Traffic Tip#6:Share Your Lessons
This is one of the best ways to share your message with your readers while being personable. To do this all you need is a list of your niche related issues you had in the past, what you’ve learned from them and how you solved them.
This way you’re sharing your journey towards solving an issue with your readers which means they will remember you for it because they can relate to you in a personal level.
Increase Blog Traffic Tip#7:Do Interviews With Niche Influencers
Niche influencers are not your competitors. Personally, I’m not a fan of a competitive mindset at all. Instead, I’m all about building friendly profitable relationships with other influencers in my niche. Interviewing them is a surefire way to give you massive amounts of traffic to your blog because the influencer will share the interview with their audience. Plus, it’ll improve your credibility because you were able to interview them.
Increase Blog Traffic Tip#8: Write About Pros And Cons Of A Solution
Do you know a solution to an issue your audience faces?
Then, you better write about it.
Writing pros and cons of a solution is a great way to show how knowledgeable you are, how current your knowledge is, and you can monetize your blog at the same time with affiliate marketing if the solution has an affiliate program.
This type of post is so important to have in your blog because the traffic that comes from it is the best. It’s the buyer traffic who searches the web to find a solution that works for their issue and they are ready to pay for it.
Increase Blog Traffic Tip#9:Make Sharing Your Content A Super Easy Task
Once you’ve applied all the eight tips above, make sure to keep it so easy to share your content with others. This will help spread the word about your blog, which means building a larger audience as well.
I hope you found these tips helpful. Now it’s time to share them with your friends and fellow bloggers on social media and immediately start applying them in your business.
