Let’s get started
Tip number one I have for you to Increase your blog traffic is to
SEO Your Content.
SEO stands for search engine optimization. It means optimizing your content for search engines like google, yahoo, and bing so, it can be ranked higher and found easier by your target audience.
Keep in mind that optimizing your content for search DOES NOT mean creating the content just for the search engines. In fact, nowadays, you need to create your content for your audience as the algorithms of search engines is far more smart that you’ll be rewarded if your audience enjoyed your content and got a massive value from it.
Whether you’re creating a blog post, podcast episode or a YouTube video, you need to make sure it’s SEO friendly.
Tip number two to Increase your blog traffic is to
Host Live Webinars
I understand they could be so scary to do especially if you’re just getting started.I totally get that. I remember when I started doing webinars, I was very nervous and overwhelmed with the idea of being live and that people can watch me in real time. The thing is that the typical written blog post is not enough anymore to build a deeper connection with your audience.
When you decide to write a blog post, you plan it, write it and then you schedule it and that’s it.
But hosting a live webinar gives you a chance to connect with your audience, address their issues and help them find a solution.
That way they will recognize you and your content in the sea of content that is being published online
Why?
Because you’ve gone the extra mile to connect and build trust with them.
Tip number three to Increase your blog traffic is to
Guest Post On Related Blogs
This tip doesn’t only apply to blogging. If you’re a youtuber, consider doing collabs with other youtubers.
If you’re a podcaster, do interviews with other podcasters.
It just works.
Why? You ask
Because of two reasons
First: it builds your authority in front of your audience.
Second: It exposes you and your expertise to a new audience.
Tip number four to Increase your blog traffic is to
Post Regularly On Social Media.
Think about social media as a huge pool of potential clients and fans.
Being on social media can massively help you understand your market and inspire you to find creative solutions for their problems.
To succeed on social media you need to do three things:
First is to listen to your audience so, you can figure out their problems.
Second: join the conversation so, you gain a better understanding of their issues and the results they want to achieve.
Third: reach out to potential clients to help them solve their issues and achieve their desired results.
Once you do these few steps, you’ll get clear on:
What are the expectations of your audience?
What do they struggle with the most?
How you can potentially help them?
Now, to be successful on social media, you need to balance both:
The social listening and actually posting and being active on different platforms. To do this you’ll need a bit of automation in the process for the posting part.
For this task I use Promo Republic. It’s an amazing tool that makes my life a lot easier when it comes to regularly posting in social media.
It supports Facebook, twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and linkedin. Which means it will be more than enough if you’re just getting started with social media
Plus you can schedule unlimited posts in each network.
Tip number five to Increase your blog traffic is to:
Create The Best Content In Your Market
I’m sure that you’ve heard it like a million times before,
Content is king.
And it’s true until today with a little twist
Great content is king, not just any content.
The better content you create, the more traffic you’ll get
Of course there is more to it than just creating great content. But still content is the most important part.
You can use a tool like buzzsumo to analyze the content across your market and then create a better version of it using your personality and expertise to make it unique.
Those five tips were all about either things that you can do in your own platform and social media channels or things to do with your business buddies who share the same journey with you.
But what about those who are considering you as a competitor. Does this mean that you can’t increase your blog traffic using their platform and social media channels?
Of course not.
Here is what you can do to leverage your competitors platform and social media presence
